Participants will receive an introductory letter explaining the
study followed by an informed consent form and a survey. Filling in the survey
usually takes under an hour and participants will be paid upon receipt of the completed
survey by the Oregon Research Institute. Many areas of lifestyle are covered in the
surveys, including (among others) ethnic identity, diet and exercise, leisure time
activities, and health beliefs. Additional surveys will be mailed about once a year.
Surveys 2 to 5 have been mailed to participants relative to their time of entrance into
the study. Every participant will eventually receive all surveys prepared for the study. |
Participation in all phases of the
study is completely voluntary.
